Frequently Asked Questions

An MBA provides a broad foundation in leadership, strategy and cross-functional business operations. It's a transformative program that's designed to develop you into a leader of teams, departments and entire organizations.

Specialized master's degrees, like an MS in Finance or MS in Marketing, provide you with advanced education in one discipline.

MBAs are a great strategic choice for those seeking upward mobility, high-level leadership and varied career opportunities.

Students can switch modalities, but it requires a formal program change and may have tuition implications. Flex MBA students can take online classes as part of their elective mix without changing their program, but Online MBA students are not able to take on-campus courses.

Online MBA students should expect to spend approximately 18-20 hours per week on coursework, which includes completing assignments and engaging with course materials.

For Flex MBA students, the general guideline is that you should expect to spend about three times the amount of in-class hours on outside work such as reading, studying and working on projects.

These time commitments may vary depending on your background, the specific courses you're taking and whether you're studying part time or full time.

All MBA students have access to academic advising, career coaching, networking events, mental health services and peer support groups. The Business Career Center provides resume reviews, mock interviews and job search resources from day one.
Choosing between our Flex and Online MBA formats depends largely on your personal learning style, geographic location and lifestyle needs. Every student's situation is unique and the best choice isn't always immediately obvious. We encourage you to contact an enrollment specialist who can help assess your specific circumstances, career goals and learning preferences to determine which MBA format will best prepare you for success.
